Team Champion® driver Chris Forsberg recently clinched his second Formula Drift season title by advancing to the semi-finals of the closing round of competition in Irwindale, Calif. Forsberg and Team Champion teammate Ryan Tuerck, star of the popular Internet series “Tuerck’d,” will sign autographs in the Federal-Mogul Motorparts booth (3217) at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 4.

“Performance Driven™” Champion spark plugs, wipers and other products are distributed by Federal-Mogul Motorparts, a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation.

Formula Drift competition challenges drivers to maneuver their cars into well executed, controlled lateral slides at high speeds on a marked course. Forsberg, who was runner-up in the 2013 Formula Drift series, won this year’s season opener in Long Beach, Calif., and had six podium finishes in eight events. He drives the Champion spark plug-powered Hankook Tires / NOS Energy Drink Nissan 370Z. Tuerck, who drives a Champion-powered Retaks / Maxxis Scion FR-S, finished 12th of 60 drivers in the Pro championship series.

“Formula Drift is North America’s premier professional drifting championship and one of the fastest growing series in all of motorsports, with a very young and engaged audience,” said Jessica Wynn, global digital marketing manager, Federal-Mogul Motorparts. “Our partnerships with Chris and Ryan have helped Champion connect with a new generation of consumers who are looking for the best technologies to maximize the performance of their vehicles.”

Champion spark plugs are a leading choice of talented drivers, engine builders and teams in virtually every form of engine-driven competition, including NASCAR® Sprint Cup racing, NHRA® drag racing, local and regional circle track competition, and motorcycle, boat and snocross events. The Champion brand today represents a broad portfolio of additional “Performance Driven” products, including wipers and chemical additives.
