BASF to sponsor NACE Town Hall breakfast, discussion on 'Total Loss'
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — In continuing its efforts as a key sponsor of the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE), BASF will host the Town Hall Breakfast on Saturday morning, November 4 from 8-9:30 a.m., featuring a discussion forum on the topic of “Total Loss.” “Total Loss is a critical issue that impacts every segment of the collision repair industry,” says Guy Bargnes, Marketing Director for BASF’s Automotive Refinish business. Heading the forum will be former CNN correspondent, Gene Randall, who will moderate a panel comprised of representatives from body shops, information providers, insurance companies and OEMs. The main areas of discussion will be: vehicles being written off that may not actually be a total loss; rising vehicle values and new safety and entertainment features; and the role of higher deductibles, increased used vehicle demand and the rising cost of raw materials. NACE attendees will have the opportunity to e-mail questions for consideration prior to the event by logging onto www.naceexpo.com and going to the key events section of the Web site. In addition, registered NACE guests who attend the Town Hall Breakfast will be eligible to win a $10,000 cash prize offered by NACE organizers. (To win, qualifiers must be present at the Town Hall Breakfast on Saturday morning.
