Educate your aftermarket employees about vehicle connectivity

Connected vehicles present opportunities for hackers, but your knowledge about new technology can ease your customers’ concerns.

Tschanen Brandyberry, special projects editor for the UBM Americas – Automotive Group, wrote a blog, “Educating customers on security and connected vehicles.” The blog encourages auto parts distributors and service repair owners, manager and technicians to become familiar with issues surrounding connected vehicles and telematics.

Vehicle connectivity will become more prominent with each passing model year, offering both safety and infotainment features, and distributors and service repair facilities that can help inform and educate their customers about telematics will win their confidence – and business.
