Snap-on has recently added PRO-LINK Ultra® Training Solutions modules to its website at http://diagnostics.snapon.com/trainingsolutions.

The 10 modules, which are offered as instructional videos, are designed to help technicians navigate the features and functionality of the PRO-LINK Ultra heavy duty diagnostic tool.

The PRO-LINK Ultra Training Solutions modules cover the following topics:

  • Introduction and Navigation: Start-up, Controls, Touch Screen
  • Internet Connection, Registration, Software Updates
  • Diagnostics Trouble Codes: Reading Fault Codes, Clearing Fault Codes, Freeze Frame
  • Data Lists, Quick List, Data Graphing, Vehicle Specifications
  • Vehicle Calibrations
  • Setup and Configuration, Touchscreen Calibration, Setting the Date/Time Stamp
  • Repair>Connect for PRO-LINK Ultra
  • Data Recording and Playback

The Snap-on Training Solutions modules provide quality product training that is available to technicians 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week, when it is most convenient for them. All modules are free-of-charge and technicians can revisit the training sessions as often as necessary to learn at their own pace and comfort level.

Each module is hosted by National Field Trainer Jim Moritz. With over 30 years of experience in automotive diagnostics, engineering, marketing, training and technical support, he has developed over 100 training courses and trained over 100,000 students. His memberships and certifications include NASTF, ETI, SAE and ASE.

Covering commercial vehicles from light diesels to Class 8 heavy-duty trucks, PRO-LINK Ultra offers licensed and tested, OEM-proprietary coverage for major systems such as engines, transmissions, ABS, instrument cluster, emissions, SCR, body controls and more, which makes the tool ideal for everything from fleets, dealerships and owner-operators to repair shops, municipalities and mobile truck services.
