Application
Ideal for fastener removal/install in:
- Engine compartments
- HVAC repair
- Interior dash panels
- Undercarriage suspension components
Origin
This solution was developed to eliminate a major frustration for users: having to choose between speed and power in a ratchet. Traditionally, techs faced two options: either a small, fast ratchet that couldn’t deliver enough torque, or a high-torque ratchet that was slower and bulkier. We combined both in one solution, so now users no longer have to compromise. On top of that, the modular trigger system gives users ultimate flexibility — no need to pick just one trigger style when they can have them all.
Features and benefits
- High-speed productivity: Removes/installs fasteners quickly, reducing job time significantly.
- Custom control: Modular trigger provides flexibility for different tasks or user preferences.
- Compact Design: Access tighter areas than pneumatic tools, saves time switching to hand tools.
- LED Lighting: Improves visibility under the dash or engine bay.
Selling points
- Best combination of power and speed: Up to 70 ft-lbs of max torque and 400RPM for faster application speeds.
- First-ever modular trigger system: Each ratchet comes with a button trigger cap, and an extra paddle cap is available to install per the user's preference. Or pair this with the M12 FUEL Ratchet Modular Trigger Cap Kit (No. 49-16-3053MTC) for additional button options.
- Power and size advantage: Compact head design fits tight spaces without sacrificing performance.
- Perfect for mobile techs: Professional-grade tool on the widely adopted M12 platform.

Storage and display
The M12 FUEL 3/8" Ratchet ships in compact retail packaging and has a minimum order quantity of one. The ratchet itself should be displayed on a shelf rather than a hook, while trigger caps can be hung or stored nearby for easy access. It is recommended to position the ratchet near the front of the truck with trigger caps close by, and keep an open display unit so customers can see and feel the different trigger styles.
Demonstration
Demo tips:
- Show speed vs. a hand ratchet or competitor.
- Swap trigger caps in front of the customer to highlight customization.
- Show size comparison next to competitor ratchet tool to show compact profile advantage.
