The large thread pattern of the air-cap makes it both robust and easy to remove. New, larger grip points on the outside of the air cap ring facilitate quick removal and refitting after cleaning. The responsive trigger action gives the painter stable air flow control during application. Accurate air pressure can be set with either the air stroke or the fluid stroke.

It includes flat, concentrating, and spoon reflector nozzle accessories to direct heat where it's needed. It has a twist-disconnect nozzle ejector for quick attachment changes without handling hot parts. The H3111 has a lay-flat design for hands-free use, only weighs 1.4 lbs, and is compatible with the company's IQV20 batteries.

Each coil lasts for several hundred uses or more, subject to use, and avoiding abrasion and overheating prevents premature wear to the coil. Coil insulation is coated to resist abrasion, but a new coil will be needed if the insulation is breached. The coils are flexible and can be bent or separated for a variety of applications.
