Welcome to this very special issue of Professional Distributor magazine! Whether you're catching up on industry news or flipping through these pages at our annual Tool Dealer Expo, you likely know there’s big news to share.
In April, we announced the merger of Integrated Supply Network (ISN) — the largest independent automotive tool and equipment wholesale distributor — with National Oak Distributors (NOD), the country’s premier automotive paint, body, and equipment (PBE) wholesale distributor.
The combined strengths of National Oak Distributors and Integrated Supply Network will create a powerhouse in the automotive aftermarket distribution industry. This partnership will enable us to leverage industry-leading teams, talent, and expertise, expand our portfolio of innovative products and geographic reach, and grow the markets we serve with the industry-leading capabilities that both companies have built over our 25+ years in business.
Our combined portfolio includes robust product offerings across more than ten major categories, including heating and cooling; electric and cordless tools, hand tools, shop tools, and, of course, PBE. Together, we serve a diverse cross-section of customers across the U.S., Canada, and the UK, including mobile tool truck dealers, digital customers, PBE jobbers, and a variety of businesses and retailers through our strategic, regional, and select accounts.
Since the announcement, the response across the industry has been overwhelmingly positive. The opportunities for growth and innovation this merger brings are truly exciting. Personally, I believe this is the perfect partnership: both companies are industry leaders with deep expertise, strong relationships, and a shared commitment to customer-first values and vision. I am proud to be leading this team of professionals as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of our newly combined company, and I’m confident we’re poised for continued success.
Bottom line — this merger will only amplify the great things that both companies are doing in the automotive aftermarket space. That means more value for you, our mobile tool truck dealers, and ultimately for the automotive professionals you serve. What a way to celebrate ISN’s 40th year in business!
