The importance of branding the tool truck
When independent distributor Scott Maroney first started out and bought his truck, he needed a design to represent his brand. His son, Matt, was attending college for marketing and graphic design at the time, and convinced him to keep it simple.
“I wanted flames, and cannons and crazy stuff,” Maroney says, of his business’ brand and truck wrap. “My son at the time said, ‘Dad, slow down, slow down. You need to keep it simple.’ He sat down with me.”
Maroney’s son designed the logo, and shortened the original company name from “Technician’s Tools” to “Tech Tools.”
“The colors, the font, he came up with everything, and he nailed it.”
