The CTA 4-pc Master Dipstick Extractor Kit, No. 5414, is designed to extract broken dipstick tubes on Ford (4.6L, 5.4L, 6.2L, and 6.8L), Dodge (5.7L and 6.1L), and GM (4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L) V8 engines. Simply use the extractor to thread into the dipstick tube to remove in the case it breaks off and a piece remains at the entry point, located at the bottom of the engine block. The kit includes Thread Adapter Tool, No. 5401, and any standard thread (5/8"-18 TPI) slide hammer to properly remove the stuck dipstick tube.
