    Redback Boots' Smelter Furnace Boot comes with hinged, stainless steel metatarsal guard and full chrome tanned leather that has been treated for specific heat, chemical and water resistance. The 9" high work boot with gusseted tongue prevents any sudden exposure to molten metals and ongoing splashes. Uses Velcro straps to ensure closure and quick release. The seams are double stitched with 20 gauge fire retardant thread. The Nitrile vulcanized rubber sole is resistant to repeat exposures of 300 degrees C and single exposures of 1000 degrees C. The steel toe is certified to OSHA/ASTM F2413-11 standards.
