    The Electronic Specialties Short Buddy (No. 230) is designed to help find shorts and intermittent electrical issues. This troubleshooter uses audible tones, allowing a tech to work hands-free while wiggling and pulling wires. Short Buddy connects at the fuse panel and becomes in-series with the test circuit. In the case of a dead short, Short Buddy gives users continuous re-set/re-power capability. Short Buddy continuously monitors the current level. If a dead short occurs, Short Buddy opens the circuit for 10 seconds, then re-applies power to the circuit. Re-powering the circuit can also be done manually.
