The Makita 18V LXT Brushless Cordless Metal Shears, Nos. XSJ03 and XSJ04, deliver 3,000 spm speed and both shear heads rotates 360 degrees, without tools, for increased comfort in various cutting positions. The XSJ03 cuts up to 14 gauge mild steel and 16 gauge stainless steel. The XSJ04 cuts up to 18 gauge mild steel and 20 gauge stainless steel and is capable of radius cuts up to 3”. Both feature a built-in LED to illuminate the work area, cast aluminum gear housing for less weight, and overload protection to protect the motor from burnout in abnormally high torque situations.
