At AAPPEX 2025, Dorman offered AMBW a look at its OE FIX products, which are created to offer a better repair solution than the OEM. Listed below are a couple that AMBW had a chance to get an in-depth look at.

The Dorman OE FIX Oil Pan

The Dorman OE FIX oil pan is designed to replace the original equipment disposable pan section found in the lower half of the two-piece engine oil pan from Ford F-150 trucks.

This oil pan was designed by Dorman to help assist in a faster and more predictable repair. Unlike the original equipment plastic pan found on Ford F-150 trucks — that warp from heat and cracks from impact —  the Dorman OE FIX oil pan is made with diecast aluminum to resist heat, corrosion, and impact. This is because of the aluminum material used.

Additionally, the aluminum pan requires a minimal number of sealants, offering a secure, leak-proof fit and a replaceable, pressing gasket.

The Dorman OE FIX Loaded Knuckles

The Dorman OE FIX steering loaded knuckles were designed to save costs on labor by coming pre-assembled with all the needed components. This allows technicians a simple, fast, and safe installation.

Additionally, unlike original equipment steering knuckles and wheel hubs — that often collect rust between the two surfaces — the Dorman OE FIX loaded knuckles feature a patent-pending and proprietary coating that helps prevent corrosion between surfaces. This provides the customer with a more permanent and reliable repair than the factory knuckle design.
