TRW’s pad range features the highest number of fitting hardware in the box, facilitating optimal installation and on the road performance.
Russ Stebbins, Director, TRW Automotive Aftermarket NA, comments: “We are truly excited about this launch. TRW’s program makes life easier for distributors and repair technicians by offering the optimum friction material for each vehicle and the attachment hardware to do the job right.
TRW’s friction material is made from a formulized mix of ingredients to facilitate a stable friction coefficient and optimized braking performance in hot or cold temperatures, at high or low speeds and under difficult or challenging conditions.
Stebbins added: “As the global leader in safety systems, TRW designs and manufactures entire braking, linkage and suspension systems in conjunction with the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers. Annually, TRW manufactures more than 26 million brake pads worldwide.”
“Our experience in OE safety systems, allows us to offer quality parts to the aftermarket that have been manufactured towork in harmony, helping to deliver superior safety, performance and comfort.”
The TRW branded program comprises over 760 part numbers covering a vast majority of NA vehicles in operation. Providing a dominant offering of chamfered, slotted and shimmed designs, the range comprises ceramic and semi- metallic brake pad sets. For a quieter and more comfortable drive, TRW’s brake pads are fitted with premium shims which act as a damper between the friction material and the brake caliper.
The TRW disc pad program is the first element of a full corner module product offering designed for the independent aftermarket. Other product programs will be introduced on a rolling basis to the NA aftermarket, featuring a full line, all-makes, linkage & suspension program later in 2012.
