New TransTec app available for Androids, Kindle Fire

Developed specifically to eliminate confusion over look-alike transmissions, the Android and Kindle Fire app identifies transmissions by vehicle make, model, year and engine. The Transmission-by-Vehicle app includes global coverage through the 2012 model year, so you can select BMW, for example, to learn that a 2007 BMW 3 Series with a L6 3.0L engine has a 5-speed, rear wheel drive transmission (model 5L40E). The new app is continually updated so users always have access to the most current and comprehensive vehicle listings.
“There was so much demand for the iPhone version of the Transmission-by- Vehicle app that we decided to make it available for other smart phones and tablets,” says Patty Richards, Senior Marketing Manager for Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies. “This app is so easy and convenient to use, transmission professionals are realizing it is an indispensable tool,” added Richards.
The TransTec® Transmission-by-Vehicle app was developed to make it easier to access technical support from Corteco, the supplier of TransTec® brand transmission kits. The app complements Corteco’s popular pocket Transmission Guide, now in its 10th edition, and builds upon the company’s tradition of supporting transmission professionals.
The TransTec® Transmission-by-Vehicle app can be downloaded free of charge on the Google Play store (Android devices), Amazon.com (Kindle Fire) and the App Store (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch).
