Dorman Training Center Instructor and Former Creative Director, Technical | Vehicle Repair Group

Pete Meier has spent 50 years in the automotive industry, beginning as a high school service station attendant. An ASE Master Technician, he has worked on nearly every gasoline-powered vehicle, taught in public and private vocational schools, trained technicians at regional and national events, and served as Technical Editor and then Director of Digital Content at Motor Age magazine.

He launched the industry’s first magazine YouTube channel and social platforms, growing it past 100,000 subscribers and 600 videos. A pioneer in live-webinar training, he has experience across dealerships, national chains, and independent shops.

As Training Manager at the Dorman Training Center, Pete teaches efficient, best-practice repair methods for current and future vehicles to technicians across the United States. His mission: “Offer instruction that helps my fellow technicians continue to improve their standard of living.”
