Apply a light coat of grease to both sides of the anti-ting washer.

Apply grease to the entire shaft spline area. Avoid placing grease into the treaded hole.

This condition may be caused by a slip/stick condition at the transmission output flange/anti-ting ring interface. To correct the condition, apply a light coat of Motorcraft high-temperature grease to both sides of the anti-ting washer and to the output shaft splines.
