Dirty Filter Might Be Culprit for Ford F-Super Duty
Some 2013-2019 Ford F-Super Duty trucks equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with only diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2074 stored in the power-train control module (PCM). This may be due to a dirty air filter.
Replace the filter if needed. Do not replace the PCM or mass (air) flow sensor (MAF) sensor for this concern. Instead, perform a MAF parameter reset under Toolbox > Powertrain > Service Functions > Reset/Clear Specified Function > rest/Clear Functions > MAF Sensor.
