This bulletin applies to 2014 Cadillac XTS vehicles equipped with a 3.6L engine and 6T80 automatic transmission. Technicians may find diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P175F active in the transmission control module. This is a Type C DTC, and the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is not illuminated.
This DTC has no impact to the customer and no transmission driveability concerns will be noted. This DTC may be set as a result of updating the transmission control module (TCM) service calibration. The diagnostic is looking for a signal that is not available in the model year 2014 vehicles.
Do not clear this DTC. Clearing it will only result in it resetting again.
