DTC Appears After Battery Disconnect

Some 2016 Ford Econoline vehicles equipped with a 6.8L engine (E-450) and built on or before May 5, 2015, may exhibit an illuminated MIL and/or DTC P2610 stored in the PCM after the 12-volt battery is disconnected.

Some 2016 Ford Econoline vehicles equipped with a 6.8L engine (E-450) and built on or before May 5, 2015, may exhibit an illuminated MIL and/or DTC P2610 stored in the PCM after the 12-volt battery is disconnected.

Reprogram the OCM to the latest calibration using IDS release 95.05 or higher. Make sure you are connected to the Internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. Files are also available at www.motorcraftservice.com.
