This bulletin applies to 2016-2018 Chevy Camaro vehicles equipped with a 3.6L engine. The check engine light may be on, accompanied by DTC P0011, P0016, P0018 or P0021 or any combination of these codes. Usually there are no drivability issues.

The cause may be the intake camshaft position actuator park lock solenoid valves sticking in the actuator or coming apart. Part of the valve may be stuck in the actuator.

Remove the intake camshaft position actuator park lock solenoid valves and inspect. If damage is found, swap the solenoids from bank to bank if just one side is setting a code and test drive to see if the code follows. Replace both solenoids if found bad.
