Caution: If the vehicle has AWD, leave the right side grommet disconnected from the metal bracket. Failure to leave the right side grommet disconnected may result in damage to the wire harness once the repair is completed.

Inspect both left and right side brake pad wear sensor harness grommets. Is the grommet positioned between the two sets of tape on the wire harness? If yes, for AWD vehicles, remove the grommet from the right side for now. Remove the left side grommet from the bracket (if not already disconnected) and wrap tape building up a thickness on the wire harness and then install the grommet onto the bracket. For RWD vehicles, disconnect the grommet from the bracket and build up tape on the wire harness and install the grommet on the bracket.

Locate the brake pad wear sensor connector and metal bracket. Inspect to see if the connector is disconnected from the bracket. Using a zip tie, secure the brake pad wear sensor harness to the caliper bracket.
