The Answer to Chrysler's No-Start Condition

Some owners of 2011-2012 Chrysler Town and Country vehicles may experience an intermittent no-start condition. Upon further investigation the technician may also find DTC B2224 (SKREEM) Sentry Key Remote Entry Module Internal or U0236 (Lost Communication with Column Lock Module) has been set (active or stored). If the DTCs are not set active or stored, then the flash should still be performed, but additional diagnosis must be performed for the intermittent no-start condition.

Other components could set these codes that the reprogramming does not address. If the module is at the latest software version level and the DTC(s) is still setting, further diagnosis will be required.

Using a scan tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify that all systems are functioning as designed. If any other DTCs are present, record and address before continuing.

Install a battery charger to ensure that battery voltage does not drop below 13.2 volts or rise above 13.5 volts during the flash process.

Flash the WIN module using the wiTECH diagnostic application. Clear any DTCs that may have set in other modules due to reprogramming.
