Honda Rocker Oil Switch

This bulletin applies to a host of Honda models including 2003-2011 Element, 2003-2012 Accord L4, 2002-2005 Civic Si, 2002-2009 CR-V, 2011 CR-Z, 2007-2011 Fit and 2012-2013 Civic (except Si and Hybrid). The Mil may illuminate accompanied by DTCs P2646/P2651 (rocker arm oil pressure switch circuit low voltage) or P2647/P2652 (rocker arm oil pressure switch circuit high voltage).

This bulletin applies to a host of Honda models including 2003-2011 Element, 2003-2012 Accord L4, 2002-2005 Civic Si, 2002-2009 CR-V, 2011 CR-Z, 2007-2011 Fit and 2012-2013 Civic (except Si and Hybrid). The Mil may illuminate accompanied by DTCs P2646/P2651 (rocker arm oil pressure switch circuit low voltage) or P2647/P2652 (rocker arm oil pressure switch circuit high voltage).

The symptom may be intermittent and you may not be able to duplicate it after clearing the DTC. The rocker arm oil pressure switch may fail intermittently.

If the problem arises, replace the rocker arm oil pressure switch.
