Chrysler Too Tight Woes

March 28, 2016
Owners of 2010 Chrysler Town & Country/Grand Caravan vehicles may experience an ETC light illumination. The technician may find DTC P2122 (accelerator pedal position sensor 1 circuit low) and/or P2127 (accelerator pedal position sensor 2 circuit low). This condition could be caused by the wiring to the APP sensor being held too tight, causing the wiring to become loose.

Using a scan tool (wiTECH or StarMOBILE) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify that the adjustable pedal system is functioning properly. If DTCs other than those listed here are present, record and address these before proceeding.

1. Gain access to the APP sensor.

2. Locate the push pin wire harness clip next to the APP sensor.

3. Using a pry tool, remove the push pin clip.
