This bulletin applies to 2012-2013 Dodge Charger vehicles built between Jan. 12, 2012, and April 27, 2013, and equipped with Outside Temperature Display and/or Vehicle Information Center. The customer may experience a delay to update the ambient air temperature display with the actual ambient air temperature.

The condition is more noticeable during short/slow commutes and with a large ambient air temperature increase between drive cycles.

Using a scan tool, verify that no DTCs are set. Record and repair as needed before proceeding.

    1. Reprogram the BCM. Install a battery charger to keep battery voltage between 13.2 and 13.5 volts.

    2. Flash reprogram the module.

    3. Clear any DTCs that may have set and verify temperature display accuracy.
