Cracks? No Worries
Mazda notes that when inspecting a turbocharger housing (2017 CX-9, for example), you may find small cracks as shown in the photo here.
They claim that the cracks do not affect engine performance nor will they cause any noise, and is not a reason to replace the turbo.
