Tension Code

This bulletin applies to 2012 Audi A8L vehicles that record a DTC entry for seatbelt tensioner voltage too low.

While scanning the vehicle with GFF, the entry B120216 (reversible belt tensioner voltage too small in address code 90 and 8F) may be stored. The vehicle may have software version 060 or 070.

The operation of the reversible seatbelt tensioner is not affected by this fault code, and functions as designed. The fix involves updating to the new version 080 software, followed by clearing the fault code in GFF.
