Owners of 2006-2011 Cadillac Escalades may complain about an oil leak shortly after a cold start when extremely low ambient temperatures are present. If an oil leak from the dipstick tube is noted, this is the result of a frozen PCV system and excessive crankcase pressure.

Owners of 2006-2011 Cadillac Escalades may complain about an oil leak shortly after a cold start when extremely low ambient temperatures are present. If an oil leak from the dipstick tube is noted, this is the result of a frozen PCV system and excessive crankcase pressure.

Clean the area, clean and dry the PCV hoses and replace the vented oil fill cap with P/N 12589430 to prevent this from re-occurring.
