Battery Sucker

Some 2011 Ford Flex models may experience a battery drain concern with ignition switch off and the key being left in the ignition cylinder for extended periods. This is due to the instrument cluster remaining awake based on the software strategy.

It is has been confirmed that the customer leaves the key in the ignition cylinder for extended periods (overnight, for example), the instrument cluster will need to be reprogrammed.

Reprogram the instrument cluster to the latest calibration using IDS release 73.03 or higher. Calibration files may be obtained at www.motorcraft.com.
