Chevy Tow No-No

Some owners of a 2001 Chevy Traverse may request the installation of a Tow/Haul Switch on a vehicle that was not built with a Trailer Provision.

According to Chevrolet, it is not recommended to add a Tow/Haul Switch. If the vehicle was not originally built with a Trailer Provision, the vehicle has a 2,000 lb. maximum trailer weight.

Adding a Tow/Haul Switch will not change the maximum trailer weight rating.
