Rear monitor re-initialization

This bulletin applies to 2011 Toyota Sienna models equipped with a rear view monitor system. Any time the battery terminal has been disconnected, the rear view monitor system must be re-initialized.

This bulletin applies to 2011 Toyota Sienna models equipped with a rear view monitor system. Any time the battery terminal has been disconnected, the rear view monitor system must be re-initialized.

1. Start the engine and check if the rear view monitor system is operative.

2. Shift the shift lever to the R position. If the rear view monitor appears as illustrated in Figure 1, you must re-initialize the rear view monitor system.

3. Shift the shift lever to the P position. Turn the steering wheel lock to lock.

4. Shift the shift lever to the R position and touch the parallel parking mode switch on the screen. When the longitudinal guidelines and “Check surroundings for safety” appear on the rear view monitor as shown in Figure 2, the initialization of the parking assist monitor has been completed.
