The left rear driveshaft on a small number of 2005 Honda Pilots is too long. This causes the left rear wheel to bind, possibly causing excessive wear on rear drivetrain components.

The left rear driveshaft on a small number of 2005 Honda Pilots is too long. This causes the left rear wheel to bind, possibly causing excessive wear on rear drivetrain components.

Approximately 130 vehicles were affected, most of which likely have been repaired due to warranty notifications. However, there still may be a few out there.

Look for a punch mark above the first character of the engine compartment VIN. A punch mark indicates that the repair has already been done.
