Some Mazda vehicles may experience the removable ignition switch knob that no longer snaps onto the ignition switch.

Some Mazda vehicles may experience the removable ignition switch knob that no longer snaps onto the ignition switch.

In this case, be aware that the knob base (A) has been established as a new service part (P/N D6Y1-76-142).

Use the knob base part instead of replacing the entire key cylinder assembly.

Applicable models include :

-          2006-2013 MX-5 with advanced keyless entry system

-          2006-2011 RX-8 with advanced keyless entry system

-          2006-2007 Mazdaspeed6 with advanced keyless entry system

-          2007-2012 CX-7 with advanced keyless entry system

-          2007-2013 CX-9 with advanced keyless entry system
