Revised Prius intake

Some 2010-2012 Toyota Prius models equipped with a 2ZR-FXE engine may exhibit a MIL ON condition. DTCs P2111 (throttle actuator control system) and P0A0F (engine failed to start) present when ambient temperatures are below 23 degrees F. The intake manifold assembly has been improved to help prevent this condition. This applies to 2010-2012 Prius, 2012 Prius PHV and 2012 Prius V models.

NOTE: Required equipment includes TIS Techstream or Techstream Lite and software version 7.10.030 or later.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Use Techstream to check for DTCs and confirm the condition.
2. Remove and replace the intake manifold with the updated part. Refer to the applicable model and year repair manual.
3. Clear any DTCs and verify the repair.
