Cure for nasty downshift
Subaru has announced that TCM reprogramming files are now available to rectify a harsh downshift on 3-2 downshift while slowing to 12-14 mph and then accelerating. TCM reprogramming files were sent to all SDS users in the October 2011 SSMIII Update version 1.28.42.7.
This applies to 2010-2011 and early production 2012 Legacy and Outback vehicles equipped with the 3.6L engine and five-speed automatic transmission.
