Wimpy wiper?
Nissan vehicles equipped with Intermittent Rain Sensing Wipers feature a rain sensor located on the windshield. When the lever is pushed down to the intermittent (INT) position, the wipers will operate when the rain sensor detects rain. The wipers may only make a single stroke unless rain is detected directly above the sensor.
The wipers may operate unexpectedly when dirt, fingerprints, oil film or insects are located on or around the sensor, or when exhaust gas or moisture affect the rain sensor.
If a customer states that the wipers do not work when the wiper lever is pushed down to the INT position, make sure that the customer is familiar with this information.
