Aug. 27, 2012
When checking transmission fluid level on 2010-2011 Lexus GX460 (transmission A760F) or 2008-2011 LX570 (transmission AB60F), be sure to install a retaining pin in the transmission oil thermostat cap.

When checking transmission fluid level on 2010-2011 Lexus GX460 (transmission A760F) or 2008-2011 LX570 (transmission AB60F), be sure to install a retaining pin in the transmission oil thermostat cap.

This will open the cooling loop and allow for accurate transmission fluid level measurements. Failure to perform this step will result in incorrect transmission fluid level and may cause shifting issues.

NOTE: Remember to remove the pin after checking the transmission fluid level to prevent drivability issues.
