New Volvo pump

This TSB applies to 2001 and later Volvo S60, 1999-2006 S80 and 2001-2007 V70 and XC vehicles. A vehicle may be difficult to start it parked facing downhill with a very small amount of fuel in the tank. The vehicle will start normally if fuel is added or if the vehicle is moved to level ground.

A new style fuel pump has been introduced with an improved anti-siphon valve. If a customer complaint arises due to this low-fuel starting problem,  install one of the new pumps listed in the following chart.
