If you weren’t already aware of this, you’re gonna love this one. The valve cover gasket on the VW TDI engine is bonded to the valve cover and is not available separately.
The valve cover should only be replaced in the event of a leak.
VW says that “the cover may be re-used if the seal is in good condition.” Seriously?
