Hyundai BlueLink code clearing
After repairing a Hyundai vehicle (that is equipped with the BlueLink system), and after clearing any DTCs, using the GDS, a BlueLink call must be made to completely clear the code(s).
Before starting the BlueLink code clearing procedure, confirm that the vehicle is already enrolled in BlueLink. Once account status has been determined, refer to the appropriate section below for the correct procedure to clear BlueLink diagnostic codes.
Note: Failure to complete this procedure will result in the customer continuing to receive the BlueLink message stating that there is a “condition” with their vehicle.
HOW TO DETERMINE IF THE VEHICLE IS ENROLLED IN BLUELINK
1. Make sure that the vehicle is parked in an open location where the cellular signal is not affected.
2. Start the engine.
3. Allow the engine to idle for at least 10 seconds.
4. Press the BlueLink button (located at the bottom of the rearview mirror).
5. Wait for the system to prompt “Please say the name of the service,” and then say “Menu.”
6. The interactive voice will announce one of the available options which will determine the BlueLink account status:
* Enrolled/Registered – Menu. There are four categories. Please say “Navigation, Information, Entertainment or Vehicle Assist.”
* Not Enrolled/Registered – Menu. You can say “Port Inspection, Dealer PDI, Vehicle Report, Navigation Demo or Goodbye.”
VEHICLE NOT YET ENROLLED/REGISTERED IN BLUELINK
1. Make sure that the vehicle is parked in an open area where the cellular signal is not affected.
2. Start the engine.
3. Allow the engine to idle for at least 10 seconds.
4. Press the BlueLink button on the rearview mirror.
5. Wait for the system to prompt “Please say the name of the service,” and then say “Vehicle Report.” The system will confirm by stating “Vehicle Report Submitted.”
6. After confirmation, the system will prompt “Please say the name of the service.” At this point, say “Goodbye.” The BlueLink system will then disconnect and end the call.
7. Leave the engine running for a minimum of two minutes, and then turn the engine off.
VEHICLE ALREADY ENROLLED/REGISTERED IN BLUE LINK
1. Make sure that the vehicle is parked in an open area where the cellular service is not affected.

3. Allow the engine to idle for atleast 10 seconds.
4. Press the BlueLink button on the rearview mirror.

6. The system will confirm by stating “Vehicle assist. You can say roadside assistance, agent assistance, service link, quick tip or main menu.” At this point, say “BlueLink Service Complete.” This is a hidden command, so the BlueLink interactive voice will not list this as an available option.
7. The system will then confirm by stating “Service complete. Please say Main 7. Menu or goodbye.” At this point, say “Goodbye.” The BlueLink system will then disconnect and end the call.
