Cracked GM turbos

This TSB applies to turbocharged engine RPO LNF engines in 2008-2009 Chevy Cobalt SS and HHR SS, 2007-2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP, 2007-2009 Saturn SKY Redline, 2007-2009 Opel GT and 2007-2009 Daewoo G2X vehicles.

The purpose of this bulletin is to address concerns with turbocharger housing cracks in the inlet flange partition wall. Vehicles diagnosed with driveability concerns or turbocharger DTCs P0299 or P0234 after inspection are revealing cracks in the inlet flange partition wall of the turbocharger housing.

According to GM, these cracks are not uncommon and are considered a normal condition and should not be a reason for replacing the turbocharger assembly. According to GM, the cracks will not affect performance.
