Any system that could leave a customer on the side of the road or facing unnecessary repair costs should be inspected on each visit they make to your shop.

One commonly overlooked area is the front-end accessory drive – the belts, tensioners, and idler pulleys responsible for the operation of the alternator, the A/C compressor, the water pump, and other systems. A belt doesn’t have to break to cause a problem; a slipping belt can generate excess heat, and that’s passed on to the bearings of all the systems listed, leading to their early demise and a costly repair that could have been avoided.
