Automechanika Chicago, a tradeshow and training event for automotive repair shop owners and technicians, and the National Institute Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) have signed an agreement to provide ASE testing the Friday and Saturday during the show, at McCormick Place West, Chicago, Ill. Automechanika Chicago will take place Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26.

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (or ASE) is an independent non-profit organization working to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service through the testing and certification of  automotive professionals. ASE promotes excellence in automotive repair and service and more than 300,000 automotive technicians and service professionals hold ASE certifications.

The ASE testing site at Automechanika Chicago will be available on a first-come, first served basis. Technicians can sign up for the ASE testing at Automechanika Chicago starting on March 1. “This special ASE testing event at Automechanika Chicago provides an additional opportunity for attendees to achieve ASE certification while at the show,” said Tony Molla, ASE VP Communication. “It’s an added convenience which we are pleased to provide to help make the most of the show experience.”

“This newly forged relationship with ASE is exciting news as we continue our focus on providing a quality platform for the automotive community,” states, Bridget Ferris, Automechanika Chicago show director.  “Automechanika Chicago is providing attendees the opportunity to expand their education through our training program as well as receive ASE certification which translates into tangible proof of their technical knowledge.”

Giving back to the industry

Positioned to be the US’s largest tradeshow and training event for the automotive aftermarket industry, Automechanika Chicago continues its industry support through its scholarship opportunities found at the show.  More than 2,000 scholarships will be awarded for the training program, Automechanika presents Motor Age Training Live. As an additional pledge to the automotive aftermarket industry, Automechanika Chicago will supply an ASE study guide to each testing registrant that signs up for the event.

“Educating the market is an important focus of Automechanika Chicago which is why we are bringing the highest level of trainers and presenters to our program. With this ASE partnership, we are closing the loop on providing an exceptional educational experience” comments Dennis Smith, president of Messe Frankfurt, Inc.
