Geico hands out scholarships and tool grants

The Collision Repair Education Foundation and GEICO Philanthropic Foundation work together to hand out scholarships to students.

The Collision Repair Education Foundation and Geico Philanthropic Foundation are proud to announce the winners of Geico's national Scholarship and Tool Grant competition. The Geico Scholarship and Tool Grant program provides each selected student with a $1,000 scholarship and $1,000 (retail) in tools. 

The student winners of the 2013 spring Geico scholarship and tool grant include: 

Kyle Wright - Chantilly STEM Academy (Chantilly, Va.) 

Olivia Barszczewski - Alfred State (Alfred, N.Y.) 

Shannon Braswell - Sarasota County Technical Institute (Sarasota, Fla.) 

Gerardo Olivera - Cerritos College (Norwalk, Calif.) 

"Geico Philanthropic is honored to support such a worthy cause," said Bill DeGrocco, assistant vice president of Geico. "We understand how important it is to develop the appropriate skills to receive such a technical degree. The students at these schools show great potential and we're happy to support them."
