Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) announced Dan Stander, AAM, Fix Auto Highlands Ranch in Littleton, Colo., will serve as the next event chairman for the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE); and Bill Moss, AAM, owner of EuroService Automotive in Warrenton, Va., will return for a second term as the event chairman for the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS). Each chairman will represent his segment of the industry and ASRW. The 2013 event is scheduled for Oct. 17 to 19 (with an education conference beginning Wednesday, Oct. 16) at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Stander follows Ron Nagy who has concluded a two-year term as the NACE chairman from 2011-2012. Nagy’s enthusiastic, diligent service the past two years is sincerely appreciated by the Automotive Service Association (ASA) and ASRW staff.

Daniel A. “Dan” Stander, AAM, of Fix Auto Highlands Ranch, an I-CAR Gold Class business, is a second-generation collision shop owner with 30 years of experience. Stander holds the Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation from the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) and is a graduate of the University of Colorado.

As an ASA member for 30 years, Stander is active in the ASA-Colorado affiliate, currently the President of ASA Colorado’s Collision Division and on the state organization’s board of dDirectors. Stander is also instrumental in ASA's activities at the national level with his involvement in the ASA Collision Division Operations Committee and its refinish subcommittee, as well as serving on the ASA board of directors as collision division director. He also serves on an industry committee within the Database Enhancement Gateway administrative team and the Database Task Force, with members from AASP and SCRS. Since 2007, Stander has taken an active role as an educational presenter and leader in the collision repair industry during NACE, and has attended the annual event each year since 2007.

Bill Moss, AAM, who is an active participant in the mechanical repair segment of the industry, began his career at a full-service neighborhood gas station in 1973. He has been involved in the trade as a technician, shop manager, route salesman, compressed natural gas and propane retro fitter, 24/7 service station manager, and an automotive sales and service business partner.

He currently owns and operates EuroService Automotive, a four-bay, ASE Blue Seal of Excellence repair facility in Warrenton, Va. Moss has been a National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified master technician for more than 20 years and also holds L1, parts consultant and service consultant certifications. He has attended CARS since 2001. Moss is also a member of BIMRS, an automotive trade association representing independent BMW service professionals, and sits on that organization’s board of directors.

ASRW is scheduled for Oct. 17-19 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, and includes the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) and the Congress of Automotive Repair & Service (CARS), making it the industry’s leading event for dedicated professionals to conduct business, network and engage in industry issues.
