Automotive shops have different operating needs. Some shops run multiple compressors simultaneously for many hours a day. Others use a primary compressor with a back-up unit. Back-up compressors may have less extensive lubrication needs because they are small, aging, or used less often. To avoid overspending on lubricant, technicians must invest in a coolant that aligns with their operating needs.
