June 12, 2025
Learn how the Autel IA900 and Ultra S2 diagnostic tool streamline an entire repair process from digital inspection to ADAS calibration.

In this Motor Age Tech Tip, Keith Perkins demonstrates a complete vehicle repair process using the Autel IA900 and the MaxiSYS Ultra. The featured repair is performed on a Mercedes-Benz, covering everything from digital vehicle inspection to wheel alignment and ADAS calibration. Perkins walks viewers through each step, explaining how Autel’s integrated platform streamlines the workflow and enhances efficiency.

Using the Ultra, technicians can perform a complete repair process using Autel tools, including battery testing, tire pressure monitoring, and suspension inspections all documented digitally and uploaded to a shop management system. Perkins highlights the importance of accurate Mercedes-Benz wheel alignment following suspension work and shows how the IA900’s streamlined alignment and calibration capabilities reduce time and complexity.

The process also includes an in-depth look at ADAS calibration with the Autel IA900, utilizing the Ultra's intuitive interface and the IA900's optical positioning to ensure precise ADAS sensor calibration without traditional setup or measuring tools like plumb bobs or string lines.
