ASA-Midwest launches 'Technicians of Tomorrow' scholarship fund

Students receive $1,000 scholarships for automotive education.

The Automotive Service Association-Midwest has kicked off its 2014 campaign for the "Technicians of Tomorrow" scholarship fund. This fund assists a minimum of four students who are pursuing a career in the automotive service industry with a $1,000 scholarship to pay for tuition and/or books.

Donors contributing $50 or more will receive a commemorative lapel pin during the 2014 VISION HiTech Training & Expo event. Gold and Platinum level donors will be recognized during the "Celebration of Independents" Awards Dinner & Comedy Night held Saturday evening, March 8, 2014.

The 2014 donors as of Dec. 30, 2013 are: Rick Hughlett (Rick's Automotive), Jerry Holcom (S&S Service Center), Joe Sevart ( I-70 Auto Service), Jorge Menchu (AESwave), Rusty Flake (Advanced Automotive Diagnostics), Carl Hutchinson (Complete Automotive) and Mike Swift (Trails End Auto and Truck Salvage).
