Car Care Council honors service techs during Service Professionals Week

Council's 'industry tool box' offers key resource for automotive aftermarket professionals.

The Car Care Council joins the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) to honor the hard work and dedication of auto service and repair technicians, parts specialists and other automotive professionals during National Automotive Service Professionals Week, June 10-16.

“Millions of car owners count on skilled automotive professionals to keep their vehicles safe, dependable and running efficiently,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “National Automotive Service Professionals Week is the perfect opportunity to thank them for their commitment to keeping Americans rolling.”

To help automotive professionals connect with their community and grow their businesses, the Car Care Council has introduced a new Industry Tool Box, a one-stop-shop for ideas, tools and resources to reach out to new and existing customers and participate in the “Be Car Care Aware” consumer education campaign. The Tool Box is featured on the Car Care Council’s website at www.carcare.org/industry-tool-box/.

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence was established in 1972 as a non-profit organization to help improve the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive technicians and parts specialists. Today, more than 360,000 ASE-certified professionals work in dealerships, independent shops, collision repair shops, auto parts stores, fleets, schools and colleges throughout the country. For more information about ASE, visit the Web site at www.ase.com.
